>PhotoAquae has received in its six previous editions more than 8,200 photographs from all over the world. Images that testify to the power of water in nature, a resource that has been shown to be key to guaranteeing the essential hygienic conditions to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 and the survival of humanity. Currently, one in three people in the world (2,200 million in total) lives without access to drinking water, a situation that climate change is aggravating and about which initiatives such as PhotoAquae try to raise awareness in society.

>“We are more than satisfied to have the support of the Stockholm International Water Institute in this seventh edition of PhotoAquae, a benchmark in the world of research on prudent water governance, transboundary water management, and its impact on the climate change ”, says Mikel de Pablo, from Fundación AQUAE.
